My name is Terri Schulze and photography is my passion.
My photography training comes from a retired university professor, who was an extraordinary photographer. I consider myself privileged to have received mentorship from such a wonderful and talented man.
I tell people that I’ll shoot whatever subject they point me at. Landscapes, wildflowers, anything macro and of course, people.
Portrait photography is my passion. I love to bring out the best in people and show it through my photos. I photograph Families, Children, Couples, Women for glamour or boudoir. Your photo session may be in my photography studio or in the natural bush setting of my partner and my 5 acre property in the Perth Hills.
Product photography I find really interesting. Each business has it’s own ‘flavour’, and it’s my job to bring that flavour out in the photos. As well as product photography I shoot business premises and the people who run it, both individual and as group photos.
I especially enjoy photographing women of my era. We have spent our lives bringing up our children, and now it’s our turn to be pampered. Women appreciate the beauty of a photo. And when they see themselves in a beautiful, tasteful shot empowers them. Not enough women treat themselves to a photo shoot.
Kids are amazing. Getting them to pose can be a challenge, but the photos that aren’t picture-perfect, in my opinion, are the best shots. I love candid photos as they tell a story and trigger memories.
Family photography is exciting and challenging. Kids get bored and that’s when the fun begins for me. I have included a lot of photos on my kid’s web page that aren’t perfect. They are what they are, kids being kids.
Couples and Boudoir photography is also an exciting area. Most people are uneasy and self-conscious. It’s my job to relax them and ensure they enjoy their shoot as well as capture some beautiful everlasting photos.
